As you can see in this list, most team players represent the championships not of the most football countries. Only Chris Wood, the forward of Leeds, the leader of the team and the top scorer of the Championship, stands out the list, perhaps.
Additionally, Winston Reid, the captain of New Zealanders, has to miss the Confederations Cup because of his trauma.
On the group stage, the New Zealand team play with teams of Russia, Portugal and Mexico. In this quartet the champions of Oceania seem to be outsiders. At least one won match will become great success for the Anthony Hudson's players.
