This tournament has become one of the best in history in the context of play and the management. The brilliant national team of France which managed to win the major football trophy after 20 years, become the world champion. Didier Deschamps, who won the World Cup in 1998 and who is the head coach of the team, was able to lead his team to the victory. The French not always showed bright game on the tournament, but due to their perfect physical condition and individual qualities of the players they could win six matches and have only one draw.
The national team of France beat Croatia 4-2 in the final which became the most pulsating in history. The Croats have become the second on the tournament and achieved their best result in history. Croatia turned out the smallest country ever played in the World Cups final.
The third place was taken by the national team of Belgium. For the Red Devils this result is also the best in history. However, the starry Belgian team is leaving the tournament slightly upset– fight for the World Cup was a real task for the team.
On the other hand, the frontrunners of the tournament disappointed. The national teams of Spain, Germany, Argentina, Brazil and Portugal couldn't reach the semi-final. Each of these teams has their own failure origin, but all of them have the same feature – all teams were not ready for big victories, first of all, emotionally.
