The airport of Rostov is the twelfth in passenger traffic in Russia. However, it is also one of the oldest. The terminal building was erected over 40 years ago and since then just a few times was under reconstruction. Over the last years the project of a new airport terminal beyond the city boundaries is discussed actively, but to the World Cup it does not seem possible to complete the construction.

The Rostov-on-Don railway terminal is large and can receive over 50 passenger trains daily. By train from Rostov you can come to any other city hosting the World Cup, however, the trip will be long. Travelling by train to Moscow takes about 16 hours, to Saint Petersburg about a day, and to Yekaterinburg it takes more than two days. Well, guests of Russia will have an excellent chance to study the country through the train window and to experience its boundless open spaces.
